Remove the cover / dressing (2 hours for tissue or up to 8 hours for cling film) after your tattoo is finished, wash it with warm soapy water. Always pat it dry with a towel. (Do not replace dressing) |

After a day or two a light scab will form. Wash daily (a shower is fine). Do not soak underwater in bath for too long. It is vital that you do not pick or scratch any scabs off your tattoo under any circumstances whilst healing, you will lose the colour or even infect the tattoo! |

24 hours after you've been tattooed, apply a thin layer of 'Lasonil' cream or 'Savlon' twice a day. We find that 'Lasonil' is better as it tends to keep the scabbing to a minimum (sometimes none at all). |

WARNING 'Lasonil' should not be put onto broken skin until 24 hours after the tattoo and can only be purchased from behind the counter at Boots, Lloyds or Superdrug. |

When all of the scabs have gone, your tattoo may appear dry, shiny or irregular in appearance, this is normal. If this is the case use moisturising lotion daily until the dryness goes away (Nivea Intensive is good). |

- Go swimming for at least 7 -10 days.
- Allow dust or dirt to come into contact with your tattoo.
